Recent Work – Metro Vancouver 2014 Homeless Count

What a privilege it was to get to listen to Judy Graves’s presentation as she brought her years of experience advocating for homeless people to an orientation session for the 2014 homeless count volunteers in Surrey. This short excerpt from the talk she gave barely does it justice, as she explained how to approach people living on the street with compassion, respect, and recognition that the circumstances surrounding their lack of housing is not an excuse to deny them the basic human dignity we would offer to anyone else we come across in our daily life.
