So Very Opted Out!

You may recall I mentioned ioptout.ca in my post about the do not call list last week.

Today I received an email from the service outlining just which companies are now forbidden to call me. This is a level of service the gov’t list isn’t offering. Further, if I review the list and see some organization that I don’t mind hearing from, I can edit and update my list down the road. Have you received an unwanted phone call from anyone listed below? You can do something about it!

ioptout.ca is not a “service”, it’s a private site run by a lawyer with an agenda (mostly self-promotion” that attempts to CIRCUMVENT the law by pestering legitimate, legal organizations into not calling people. This guy attacks charities – polling firms – health associations – and many other worthy organizations.

This is not nice stuff. This is a mean spirited little guy who thinks he’s better than the law.

Avoid ioprout.ca – I opt out of Michael Giest and his hate crusade.
